heard on the radio today how much each medal is worth.

Gold: ~$500
Silver: ~$300
Bronze: ~$3

It's a slap in the face to 3rd place
Come on, bronze can't be that cheap! At $3, it must be made in china, which is a slap in the face even more. It is a Canadian gift to the athlete, it should have been made here.
